Join the Save the Train Coalition to speak up for SEPTA! The agency’s board is holding public hearings May 19, 20, and 21 to consider the transit agency’s 2025-26 operating and capital budget — and the catastrophic proposed 45% service cuts and 20% fare increase. We want to pack the room for the 11 a.m. meeting on the first day with transit supporters and rally outside the hearing at 1234 Market St. to show we care about the future of SEPTA and our city.
Can you join us?
Coalition members will be riding the 8:58 a.m. train from Chestnut Hill West and the 9:01 a.m. from Chestnut Hill East to Jefferson Station. Our group meeting point will be at the Allen Lane station on the West line — we’ll even buy a High Point Café drink for anyone going to the rally and hearings from 8:15 a.m. on. Or you can meet us at SEPTA’s building. If you’re in, let us know so we can be prepared with materials to help make our case.
Outside SEPTA headquarters, we’ll rally with local elected officials, then head inside for the first hearing.
